Joanne D'Alessandro

February 6, 1941 — September 9, 2024

Joanne D'Alessandro of Frederick, MD, passed at Frederick Health Hospital on September 9, 2024. She was born in Peekskill, New York and is the daughter of the late Pasquale and Rosina Mazzeo.

Joanne spent the majority of her life in Westchester, New York. She held various jobs before retiring as a bookkeeper from Lakeland Lumber. Shrub Oak, New York. In her retirement years, Joanne lived in Frederick, MD, to be closer to family.

Joanne enjoyed playing various word games and was known to be a good speller. An excellent cook, Joanne enjoyed cooking Italian meals for her family.

Joanne is survived by her son Matthew D'Alessandro and his wife Erin, her daughter Michele Routzahn and her husband Chad, her grandchildren Samantha, Tyler, Rebekah, Andrew, Alexis, Sophia, and Jackson, her sisters Diane Mosco and Linda Mazzeo, and her brother Tommy Mazzeo.  Joanne is preceded in death brothers Nickolas Mazzeo and Vincent Mazzeo and sister Mary Orlando. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph on Carrollton Manor, 5843 Manor Woods Road on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. Inurnment immediately following at St. John Cemetery, 216 E. 4th Street, Frederick, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joanne's name to the Alzheimers Association. www.alz.org
