Joann Fay Keyser

Mrs. JoAnn Fay Keyser, 86, of Frederick passed away Friday, January 6, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Bobby Cannon and Melvin Keyser.

Born February 6, 1936 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Geraldine Hildebrand.

JoAnn was an administrative assistant for FCPS for over 30 years serving at TJ High School, Elm Street Elementary, West Frederick Middle School and Monocacy Middle School. She was lifelong member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her sons; Jim Cannon, Chris Cannon (Lou Ann) and Galen Keyser (Kelly), grandchildren; Allyson Cannon, Jackie Hoffman (Tyler) and Austin Keyser (Mikayla), great-granddaughter; Cameron Hoffman, nieces; Linda Graham (Wes) and Barbara Thacker, nephew; Michael Delauter, special friends; Mark Roach and Sandy Mattia.

She was predeceased by her sister; Arline Bowland.

The family will receive friends from 10am to 12pm, on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. The funeral service will follow at 12:00PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in JoAnn's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
