Jeannette Mcdonald

Jeannette McDonald, age 83, passed away and went to be with her Lord and Savior at Homewood at Crumland Farms on January 11, 2024. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama and is the daughter of the late Hattie Mae Ketten and Waymond A. McDonald.

She graduated from California Baptist College in May of 1966 with a B.A. degree. Her major was music with a minor in English. Jeannette was a devout Christian, whose love for Jesus Christ was an everyday part of her life. She enjoyed playing her Church Organ and Christian music even while at Homewood.

Jeannette worked as a real estate agent and loved all animals, especially cats. She loves her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and treated them as her grandchildren.

Jeannette is survived by her younger sister, Christie McDonald, niece Kylia Wilson (Steve), nephew Jay K. Givens, II, (Jacki) and niece Kryssa (Dave) Cooper and several great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. She is pre-deceased by her brother Eugene McDonald.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jeannette's name to Southern Baptist Convention. www.sbc.net
