Janice Wheeler

Mrs. Janice Gastley Wheeler, 82, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at her residence.  She was the loving wife of the late Billie Wheeler, Sr., who preceded her in death in 1971.

Born January 26, 1941 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late John and Phylis Gastley.

Janice is survived by her daughters; Jo Ann Conners and Debra Tavenner; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by several brothers and sisters.

She was preceded in death by son; Billie Wheeler, Jr.; special brother; Jay Gastley and several other brothers and a sister.

The family will receive friends from 2pm to 5pm, on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick.  The funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, on Monday, August 7, 2023 at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
