Irene Ann Kennedy

Irene Ann Kennedy, of New Market, MD, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022. She was born in Rochester, New York on December 27, 1932 and was the daughter of Joseph Spogis and Antoinette Ricki-Spogis.

Irene was married to her husband, Alfred Mark Kennedy for 55 years until his death in 2015. She was proud to be a registered nurse and was always smiling, upbeat and positive in her attitude. Irene enjoyed listening to swing music and dancing.

Irene is survived by daughters Deborah Thompson and husband Steven, Ann Sewell and husband Bryan,  as well as grandchildren Erin Sewell, Jack Sewell and Bailey Thompson.

A Memorial Mass will be offered on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church, 4103 Prices Distillery Road, Ijamsville, MD 21754, Rev. Patrick Carrion officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date.
