Helen Eloise Gray

Helen Eloise Gray, 86, of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at St. Catherine's Nursing Center on Thursday, June 20, 2019.  She was the wife of the late Frederick Douglass Gray.  Helen was born in Orange, Virginia on October 7, 1932 to the late Conway Gordon and Katherine Gordon Mosby.

Helen was known for her talent as a seamstress and her enjoyment for cooking healthy meals for her family.  She also loved spending time with her family at their beach home in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

She is survived by her daughters Harriet Gray and Gail Gray-Gatling and husband Jeffrey Gatling, Sr.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Wendell Highsmith, Jr. and his wife Amanda, Jennifer Gatling and Jeffrey Gatling, Jr. and great-grandchildren, Kira Highsmith and Wendell Highsmith III and siblings Catherine, Dorothy, Beatrice, Horace, Edward "Skippy," and Charles along with a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2-5 pm on Monday July 1, 2019 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD. Interment will be held at 10:45 am on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Garrison Forest Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Rd, Owings Mills, MD.
