Gurnon Franklin "Buzz" Working

Mr. Gurnon Franklin "Buzz" Working, 68, of Frederick died Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown. Born December 17, 1950 in Sabillasville, he was the son of the late Gurnon Oliver and Rhoda Viola (Hahn) Working. Buzz is survived by his son, Todd Working and wife Carmen, grandsons, Lucas Working and Brady Working, brothers, Roy Working, John Working, Kenny Working, Pauline Kipe and Ruby Bierly, numerous nieces and nephews. Prior to retiring from the Frederick County Government as an Orphan’s Court Judge, Buzz worked over 20 years for the Frederick County Circuit Court. He officiated numerous ceremonies uniting many Frederick County residents in marriage. Other positions Buzz held included Vice President at Farmers and Mechanics National Bank, and salesman at JC Penney where he outfitted much of Frederick in formal wear. His proudest achievement was being a father and grandfather. The family will receive friends from 1pm to 3pm, on Saturday, January 12, 2018 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. Inurnment will be private. A remembrance ceremony will follow at the Frederick American Legion, Post 11, from 3pm to 6pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 108 Byte Drive, Suite 103, Frederick, MD 21702.
