Gerald Edward Schultz, Sr.

Gerald Edward Schultz Sr., 80, of Frederick, passed away on January 25, 2023 at Frederick Health Hospital. Born July 5, 1942 in Fredrick. He was the son of Albert Woodrow Schultz Sr. and Irene Rebecca Dellet Schultz. Gerald was married to Shirley Marie Linton Schultz for 61 years.

In addition to his wife he had a son Gerald Edward Schultz Jr. and friend Betty Morgan, sibling Christine Rebecca Schultz Baer. He was preceded in death by his brother Albert W. Schultz Jr. & wife Patricia Schultz, and brother-in-law Charles "Baldy" Jerome Baer

He worked at Frederick Ford Motor Co, Chesapeake Bus Company at Gaithersburg and Ivy H.. Smith company. Jerry loved to listen and play music with drums in Church. He played in the Gospel Travelers for years. In his younger years he was a mechanic and liked to rebuild cars. He enjoyed making CD's for friends. Jerry enjoyed the water and going to North Carolina with his family fishing and just boat riding in the water with Jr. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews and special friends Rubin & Stella Bradley.

Family and friends can gather at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701, on Monday January 30, 2023 from 5pm to 7pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday January 31, 2023 at 10am. Interment will be held privately.
