Gary Stover Waggy

Gary Stover Waggy, age 77, passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 22, 2022. He was born in Sugar Grove, West Virginia on March 8, 1945 and was the son of the late Cletus Daniel Waggy and Charlotte Jane Reynolds Waggy.

Gary was a true patriot and served in the United States Army from 1966 – 1981. During his time in the Army, Gary served a tour in Vietnam and was wounded in action and later awarded the Purple Heart. He also received an Army commendation Medal and Vietnam Campaign and Service Medal

Gary married his wife, Olivia Mary Staley Waggy on December 30, 1978.

He worked for in the logistics field for the federal government beginning in 1975 until his retirement in 1988. Gary enjoyed watching TV, fishing, hiking, being outdoors, animals, nature and travel.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Diane Leslie Waggy, Matthew David Waggy and Timothy Andrew Waggy and his grandson Mason Ryder Waggy.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, 1811 Latham Drive, Frederick, MD 21702
