Gary William Hutchens

Mr. Gary William Hutchens, 78, of Frederick passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen Hutchens for 20 years. He was born in Hagerstown on March 15, 1941 to the late Wellington Miller and Grace Baker Hutchens.

Gary graduated with a degree in Animal Husbandry. He worked in sales for most of his life, but excelled at many other creative endeavors. He was known as a perfectionist and for his talent for multi-tasking- anything he could put his mind to he could do! Including, teaching the art of bonsai, and being an avid equestrian. He had a great love for his horses. After retirement he worked as a bus driver for Daybreak Adult Day Services. He was a member and Chaplin of the Frederick Elks Lodge #684. As well as a member of the Mountain View Community Church.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Karen Hosner, Jackie Weisenstine, Adam Hutchens, and step-son Jeffrey Harris, grandchildren Meghan Dunn, Grace Weisenstine, Shawn Hosner, Tyler Hosner, Krysta Storat, Danielle Harris, Matthew Harris, and Joshua Harris, siblings, Joseph Hutchens of Austin, TX and Ann Smith of Southern Pines, NC, Aunt Helen Kelley, and cousin Katy Kelley. He will be greatly missed by many friends and extended family.
