Evelyn E. Miller

Mrs. Evelyn Elaine Miller, 88, of Buckeystown, died Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at her home.  She was the wife of the late Charles O. Miller, who preceded her in death in 2011.

Born July 20, 1936 in Beaver Creek, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Catherine (Reeder) Betts.

Evelyn worked for Sagner's and for the United States Postal Service as a rural carrier.  She worked with Charlie as bookkeeper in the family construction business.  She was very active in the Frederick Church of the Brethren singing in the choir as a youth and she was member of the FCOB Chancel Choir.  Evelyn also sang with the Golden Tones of Frederick County and the Mello Tones.  She was an avid flower gardener.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Cereasa "Cici" Tyeryar  (Kenneth), Dennis Miller (Romona) and Charlene Miller, grandchildren, Michael Tyeryar (Lisa), Ronald Tyeryar, Angela Walls (Rick) and Dennis Miller Jr. (Michelle), great-grandchildren, Michael Tyeryar Jr. (Sarah), Kelsey Tyeryar, Logan Tyeryar, Brayden Tyeryar, Devon Tyeryar, Dade Tyeryar and Alyssa Tyeryar, DeShawn Imes (Airin), Jade Miller and Aiden Miller, great-great grandchildren, Zyan Imes, Cameron Imes, Angelo Imes, Emma Tyeryar and Molly Tyeryar.

She was predeceased by sisters, C. Louise Barry, Edith Moss and Geraldine Moser.

The family will receive friends from 1PM to 4PM on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701.  The memorial service will be held at 1PM, on Monday, October 28, 2024 at the Frederick Church of the Brethren, 201 Fairview Avenue, Frederick, MD 21701.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Frederick Church of the Brethren Deacon's Fund or Cornerstone Fellowship ARC.
