Emily Louise Baker

On February 2, 2025, Emily Louise Baker, age 73, of Martinsburg, WV, passed at her home peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born in Frederick, MD on March 31, 1951, and was the daughter of the late Carl and Margaret Thomas of Frederick, MD. Emily is survived by her devoted and loving husband, of 53 years Chester (Chet) L. Baker, Jr of Martinsburg, WV.

Emily was a graduate of Frederick High School, class of 1969. She enjoyed doing daycare at her home for over 20 years. She also worked in the mortgage and insurance industry. Emily enjoyed playing her online games (bingo blitz) and was always up to date on the weather. She took pride in raising all three of her kids along with all five of her grandkids.

In addition to her husband, Emily is survived by her children; Craig Baker of Martinsburg, WV, Jacob Baker and wife Faith Baker of Gettysburg, PA, Heather Baker of Frederick, MD; grandchildren Isaiah Proctor, Danielle Baker, Donovan Baker, Airyanna Little, and Dallas Baker. She is also survived by her loving dogs Max and Princess and cat Destiny.
