Elaine Carol Harvey

Mrs. Elaine Carol Harvey, 73, of Frederick, passed away on Sunday, February 5th, at her home, after a brief battle with cancer.

Elaine was born on January 15, 1950, in Hartford, Connecticut to the late Harry C. Pfau and Barbara L. Erickson Pfau.  She was predeceased by her siblings, Patricia Pfau Welch and William C. Pfau.  She is survived by her brother, Harold Pfau.

Elaine was a beautiful wife, mother, and grandmother “Nana”.   A devout genealogist, she spent many years working in her church and spent countless hours helping others to find their ancestors. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling.  She had a wonderful sense of humor that could brighten anyone's day. Elaine also loved story-telling and could often be found reading or writing.

Elaine is survived by her husband, best friend and companion, Jim Harvey, of 51 years.  Together they had five children: Tonya Wolfe (Ron), Sarah Wilhelm (Roland), David Harvey, Patricia Cabot (Alex), and James Harvey, Jr. (Alli); and sixteen grandchildren: Tayler, Ryan and Regan Wolfe; Austin, Jacob, Christian, Madelyn, Savanna, Leah and Aubrey Wilhelm; Samantha and Jack Cabot; and Rachael, Zach, Sofia, and James Harvey, III.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 8th, from 4:30-6:00 pm, immediately followed by a service, food and fellowship at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 199 North Place, Frederick, MD.  The internment will be private the following day at Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland, Maryland.

The family would like to thank Frederick Hospice for their care and the wonderful support by church members and friends.
