Mrs. Dolly Victoria Easterday (nee’ Marsh)
Dolly Victoria “Dee-Dee” Easterday, born August 17, 1927, passed away April 14, 2025 at her home.
Dolly was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Feagaville, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, Primary Department Superintendent, a member of the Theos (They Heal Each Other Spiritually) and helped out at the Church mission donation center.
Her time was spent enjoying her family, researching genealogy, cross stitching, quilting and traveling.
She graduated from Middletown High School class of 1946, and worked at F. W. Woolworth five and dime store, Frederick County National Bank and managed Dan Dee Motel and Restaurant.
She is survived by her son, J. Dennis Easterday and wife Debra of Florida and daughter C. Diane Sadowski of Frederick; grandchildren: Dr. Jennifer R. Knight and husband Dr. Champ Knight, Jessica K. Reinke and husband Christian, Brennen M. Sadowski and wife Cisney. She has been blessed with nine great-grandchildren: Caleb Reinke, Olivia Reinke, Castle Reinke, Mason Reinke, Porter Knight, Austin Knight, Pernilla Reinke, Eli Sadowski and Synnove Reinke.
Dolly was preceded in death by her parents, Mabel V. Sulcer Marsh and Mason R. Marsh; her husband James R. Easterday, her son-in-law Stephen S. Sadowski, her brothers Paul Marsh, Ruby Marsh, John Marsh and Ernest Marsh, and sister Maude Gladhill and great-granddaughter Pernilla Reinke.
A funeral service will be held in her memory on Saturday, April 26, 2025 11:00 a.m. in St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Feagaville, 5463 Jefferson Pike, Frederick, Maryland 21703. Interment immediately following in adjoining cemetery.
