Dennis Edward Seibert, Sr.

Mr. Dennis Edward Seibert Sr., 70, of Frederick, died Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Suburban Hospital, Bethesda.  He was the loving husband of Mary Seibert for 42 years.

Born on September 29, 1953 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Donald Seibert and Catherine Gordon Wolfe.

Dennis graduated from Frederick High School in 1971. He worked for Dewey Jordan Inc. as a heavy equipment operator and a diesel mechanic for over 35 years. For the last 14 years, Dennis was employed with Stup's Auto Center as a delivery driver.  Throughout the years, he would occasionally work at Wolfe Auctions and help with driving the equipment.

You could always find Dennis working on vehicles, especially his 1950 Chrysler Windsor, attending car shows, outside mowing the grass with his sons, and making sure to grab his daily cup of coffee from Sheetz.  He didn't miss many carnival bands and enjoyed Sunday evenings at Baker Park listening to the concerts. Dennis was not a man to sit still, whether giving a helping hand to anyone in need or tinkering around the house, he always had something to do.  Spending time with family and being Pappy to his granddaughters made him most happy.

In addition to his wife; Dennis is survived by his children; Stacey Seibert (Phill Roberson), Dennis Seibert Jr., Mitchell Seibert (Jessica) and Holly Seibert,  granddaughters; Chloe Carter, Eleanor and Isabella Seibert, siblings; Benjamin Bowman, Ronald Seibert, Dixie Brunner and Sandra Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1PM to 4PM on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick.  The funeral service will be held at 11AM, on Monday, July 22, 2024 at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
