Constance Celeste Shafer

Constance "Connie" Celeste Shafer (nee Schultz) passed away on January 15, 2025 in Frederick, Maryland, the city of her birth. She was the devoted and loving wife of James Elliott Shafer, Jr. Connie was a graduate of Frederick High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Jimmy Shafer. After high school graduation she was employed by C&P Telephone Company, where she started as a switchboard operator and remained until retiring as a customer service manager. Together she and Jimmy bore 2 children and have been blessed by 6 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was a devoted congregant of Edgewood Church of God for her entire life and a very active volunteer with the Young of Heart group. Frederick, Md. 21702 Friends and relatives are invited to visit on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Edgewood Church of God, 8204 Edgewood Church Rd, Frederick, MD 21702 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at which time a funeral service will be held.
