Charles "Reds" Ridenour

Mr. Charles  "Reds" Ridenour, 80, of Frederick, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024.  He was the husband of the late Linda Ridenour, who preceded him in death in 2009.

Born August 31, 1944 in Pennsylvania.

Reds was dedicated to his work for the Architect of the Capitol for 28 years.  He could fix anything and was eager to help a neighbor.  He was a fan of the  Washington Redskins fan, Minnesota Twins and Washington Nationals fan.  He was an avid golfer and fisherman.  Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, April Sier, Stephanie Brooks, James Morgan II and Nova Ridenour, grandchildren, Justin Sier, Autumn Sier, Robert Brooks Jr., Brandon Brooks, Amber Brooks, Emily Brooks, Derek Morgan, Maverick Morgan, Zoey Morgan and Makayla Lawson, 6 great-grandchildren, brother, Bobby Ridenour and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Charles was preceded in death by grandson, James Sier III and many siblings.

The family will receive friends from 10am to 11am, on Friday, November 15, 2024 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick.  The funeral service will immediately follow at 11am.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the Lupus Foundation, 2121 K Street NW #200, Washington, D.C. 20037.
