Retired SSG Cassandra Ann Gould

Cassandra A Gould of Frederick, MD, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, in Martinsburg, West Virginia. She was born on February 7, 1961, in Hamilton, OH and was the daughter of the late James Sr. and Frankie Mae Reid.

Cassandra was a college graduate of Central State University and afterwards she joined the US Army in 1985. After serving her country for over 20 years, she finally retired from the service in 2007 and joined the JAG Legal Office as a legal technician where she continued to serve fellow soldiers.

Cassandra was a kind and loving person who went above and beyond for her family and community. She loved traveling, meeting new people and finding ways to help them out. She will be truly missed by Stephanie Gould (Daughter), Dee and Rebekah Reid (Sisters), and the late James Jr and Christopher Reid (Bothers). Can’t forget the many nieces and nephews all over the world, plus our very loved extended family.

A graveside service will be held on July 21, 2023 at Mount Olivet Cemetery at 11 A.M. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Francis Scott Key Memorial Chapel, located near the entrance, inside the cemetery. At 11 A.M. we will process to the gravesite where Military Honors will be rendered followed by a graveside funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Black River American Legion, Post 673, 113 E. Dexter Street, Black River, NY 13612.
