Casper E. Harding Sr. born August 3, 1935 and died December 30, 2020. He was the son of the late William Elmer and Zennie Soper-Harding. He is preceded by his late sisters, Ethel Stimmel and Catherine Soper, as well as his brother, Clyde Harding. He leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Thelma, his only son, Casper Jr., his two granddaughters, Jennifer and Michelle, as well as two great-granddaughters, Naomi and Julianna.
Other family members include two nieces Patsy Goodsell and Joyce Printz and family, two nephews Terry Harding and his wife Doris, and Eddie Stimmel. He is survived by his friends Wayne and Barbara Lowe, Larry and Sue Livingston, Lee Dove and family, Ronald Hoffman and family, and close family friends Melvin and Sherri Dixon.
He started his Carpentry career at Ketler Brothers before moving on to the Government. Once retired, he took a job at the Oak Post repairing furniture and then began his part time job as a bus driver for FCPS.
He was a longtime member of Braddock Lutheran Church and loved to spend his spare time hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He enjoyed having outdoor picnics with his friends and family and sharing his homemade deer jerky over a spew of jokes.
Visitation will be held on Thursday January 7, 2021 from 2:00pm until 6:00pm at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E Church St., Frederick MD 21701 , where a Funeral service will be held on January 8, 2021 at 11am , with burial to immediately follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
