Carole Colliflower Kemp

Carole C. Kemp, age 80, passed on December 3, 2022 in Hagerstown, MD. She was born in Frederick, MD on May 25, 1942 and was the daughter of Martha Virginia and Guy Joseph Cramer.

Carole was a graduate of Frederick High School. She enjoyed bowling in the women's church duckpin league for years. Carole was employed by Remsburg's Jewelry Store, Gold Thumb Jewelry Creations and Landis Jewelry Store.

She was an active member in Church of The Savior as a Sunday School teacher and with Mission work and active in the Women's Aglow Jail Ministry at the Frederick County Detention Center.

Carole is survived by her daughter; Marcia Kemp Bell (Gary), grandson; Gregory W. Lambert (Paula), granddaughter: Katharyn Rentzell (Chip), great grandchildren; Cody, Garrett and Nathaniel Rentzell and Sarah and Austin Lambert, sister; Barbara A. Cramer of Takoma, WA., brother; Dr. George H. Cramer (Susan) of Dallas, TX. Also survived by multiple nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Carole is predeceased by her husband Austin Eugene Kemp, Jr.

Family will receive friends at Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 E. Church St., Frederick, MD on Thursday, December 8, from 4 to 7 P.M. A Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11 A.M. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Washington County Hospice.
