Carol Martin Ragan Roberts

Carol Martin Ragan Roberts, 82, of Frederick, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Born August 31,1937 in Oak Park, IL, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Josephine (Martin) Ragan. She attended Indiana University, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and also participated in many campus dance and theatrical productions. Carol ultimately graduated from Butler University with a degree in English. She worked in journalism, becoming the Women’s Editor for the Topics Newspapers of Indianapolis. Later in life, Carol worked in retail for both Kohl’s and Dress Barn where she was recognized for her customer service. Carol is survived by her daughter Cynthia (Roberts) Maubert and son-in-law Paul of Frederick, and grandchildren: Laurelle Maubert of Frederick, Henry Maubert of Frederick, and Emma Larsen of Charleston, SC. Carol will also be greatly missed by many nieces and cousins. Due to COVID-19, a private interment will be held. A service celebrating Carol’s life will be scheduled for a future date.
