Carlton Calvin Barger, Jr.

Mr. Carlton Calvin Barger Jr., 81, of Frederick died Thursday, March 4, 2021. He was the loving companion of Betty Tregoning for the past 10 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Josephine Barger, who died in 2009.

Mr. Barger was a graduate of Frederick High School. He was a member of the Owls Club in Frederick. He worked for many years at East Alco, Marriott Hotels, Frederick City Police and most recently as a security officer.

Calvin is survived by his children, Holly McIntosh (Kenneth), Connie Barger (Seann Jenkins), Kelly Palmer (Donald Jr.), Carlton Barger (Tiffany) and Sherry Barger, step-children, Kimberly Saldago and Teresa Tregoning, 22 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10am to 11am, on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11am. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing and face masks are required.
