Brenda M. Brashears

Mrs. Brenda Madeline Brashears, age 74, of Frederick, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 28, 2023 after an extensive illness.

Born on April 20, 1949 in Frederick, MD.  She was the daughter of the late William M. Lininger Sr. and the late Louise Lininger DuVall.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years; Harold L. Brashears, daughter; Tammy Sue Kidd Lare and husband Charles, brother; Wayne Lininger, sisters; Patsy Hoffman and Pam Weddle, 3 grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her very special nephew Terry Bruchey Sr., who helped care for her throughout her entire illness.

Brenda was preceded in death by her son; Charles "Chuckie" Kidd III, brother; William Lininger Jr. and sisters; Sharon Huff, Bonnie Virts, Vicky DuVall and Faye Lorraine Lininger.

The family will receive friends from 4pm to 7pm, on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick.  The funeral service will be at 10:00AM, on Friday, November 3, 2023 at the funeral home.  A special hymn "In His Arms I Am Not Afraid" will be sung by her brother; Wayne Lininger.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be brother; Wayne Lininger, son-in-law; Charlie Lare, nephews; Terry Bruchey Sr., Terry Bruchey Jr., Brian Bruchey and Jamarion Bruchey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Frederick Health Hospice, 1 Frederick Health Way, Frederick MD 21701.
