Betty Irene Wolf

Betty Irene Wolf, 92, of Frederick, MD, passed away on Monday April 15, 2024 at Homewood at Frederick. Born in Frederick on September 23, 1931 to the late George W. and Altie E. (Wachter) Stull. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald J. Wolf who predeceased her on December 1, 2013.

Betty's working career began at Robert Hall Clothes, Rea & Derick Drugstore, and The Cozy Restaurant. She would eventually work for J.C. Penney’s Bridal department, where she would spend over 20 years helping numerous brides to be.

Betty enjoyed ceramics, reading, playing Dominoes and card games. She also loved cooking and would make large spreads of food during the holidays. She spent many hours feeding and watching songbirds while tending to her plants. Betty often joined the activities at Homewood and volunteered her time at hospitals. She will be most remembered for her love of her family and friends. Betty loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Robert L. Wolf (Roxanne) and David W. Wolf (Kellie), her grandchildren, Jason Wolf, Erin Wolf (Johannes Secreve), Samantha Wolf (Andrew Acerra), Rachel Schaeffer (Bradley), Zachary Wolf, and Alejandra Heishman (Jaime), her great-grandchildren, Jacob, Mason, Teah, Joanna, Quinn, Mila, and soon to be born Luke, her sisters, Margaret Angleberger (George) and Doris E. Brown (Willard), daughter in law Thelma Wolf, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her son D. Joseph Wolf and her brothers, Norman Stull and Fred Stull.

Family and friends can gather at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701, on Monday April 22, 2024 from 11am until the start of the funeral service at 12pm. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
The family would like to thank the many caring doctors, nurses, and other staff members at Homewood at Frederick and Bridging Life Hospice.
