Betty Fogle Lee

  Mrs. Betty Blane Fogle Lee, 86 passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at the Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home, Boonsboro. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Lee, Sr. Born in New Midway on June 1, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Roger and Hilda Wetzel Fogle.Betty was retired after 25 years with A T & T. She was a member of the Bush Creek Church of the Brethren and for many years had taught Sunday School. She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, cooking and bowling.Surviving are her children, Robert E. Lee, Jr. and wife Maria of Frederick and Sharon A. Fox of Middletown, two sisters, Evelyn Wilcom of Monrovia and Alice Robertson of Frederick, grandchildren, Kevin Fox and wife Mika, Christina Fox, Katie Williar and husband David and Robert E. Lee III and wife Mandy, great grandchildren, Jaylyn, William, Theodore, Savannah, Isabella, Sadie and Willa, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, W. Ronald Fox.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., on Monday, January 28, 2019, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at the funeral home. The Rev. Melissa Barnes and Rev. Leo Barnes will officiate. Interment will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Bush Creek Church of the Brethren, 4821 Green Valley Road, Monrovia, MD 21770.
