Betty Jane Cromwell

Betty Jane Cromwell, 91, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away Monday, March 24 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born on March 24 1934, in Slab Fork, West Virginia, Betty was the daughter of the late John Henry Clark and the late Minnie Frances Cole Clark and is preceded in death by her brother John Henry Clark Jr., her husband William Richard Cromwell and son Gary Wayne Cromwell.

While not a practitioner of many hobbies, Betty did enjoy traveling to antique shops, frequenting, vintage, toy shows, and collecting Barbie Dolls, especially the holiday editions. But her most joyous moments were spent, outside during the summer, playing in the backyard with her grandsons. In the later years of her life, she preferred to slow down and take things more gently.

Betty is survived by her two grandsons Cody and Cory Cromwell, daughter-in-law Barbara Cromwell-Bowers, and sister-in-law Bonnie Butler and her husband Wayne. A private graveside service is being held at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Frederick, Maryland. Arrangements are being provided by Keeney & Basford P.A. Funeral Home.
