Belva Louise Bell

Belva Louise Bell, 93 of Frederick, passed away on Tuesday September 12, 2023 at Heartfields Assisted Living of Frederick with her family by her side. Belva is survived by: her son, James T. Bell, Jr. and his wife, Susan and her grandson, James Michael Bell and his wife Julie. Belva graduated from Thurmont High School in 1947 continuing her education at Frederick City Nursing School, graduating in 1950. She served as a Registered Nurse for 37 ½ years at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Frederick Memorial Hospital Alumnae Assoc. and a member of the Rainbow Belles. Belva was predeceased by her husband James T. Bell, Sr., her parents, James C. Warthen, Sr., Gladys Martin Warthen, her twin-brother James C. Warthen, Jr. and her great granddaughter Alora Jaide Bell. Friends and relatives are invited to visit on Tuesday, Sep. 19, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 pm, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Homes, P.A. 106 E. Church St. Frederick, MD. 21701. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family would like to thank all caregivers at Heartfields of Frederick and Frederick Health Hospice for their attentive and special care.
