Barbara Lynn Gaver

Barbara Lynn Gaver 58, of Thurmont, MD went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully on Thursday July 18th at her home after battling chronic illnesses for many years.  She was born November 3rd, 1960 to Carol Ann Young and the late Charles Leroy Young Sr.  She was married to the late Richard Earl Gaver, Sr. for 27 years.

She loved all animals especially horses and her beloved dog Gizmo.  She enjoyed shopping, watching her soaps and animal planet, and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.  She is survived by her children Charles Snedegar Sr and wife Amanda of Emmitsburg, Brandy Beall and husband Joshua of Thurmont, Ginger Gaver of Thurmont, Charles Snedegar Jr of Thurmont, step children Sherry Abrecht and husband Richard of Thurmont, Brandy James and husband Eric of Hagerstown, Jeff Gaver and wife Tara of PA, mother Carol Ann Young of Frederick, sisters Lisa Young of Frederick, and Debbie Leach and husband Doug of PA,  brother in law Billy Staub of Frederick, sister in law Mary Whipp and husband Pete of Emmitsburg, numerous grandchildren, nieces, aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins.Barb was preceded in death by her father Charles Young Sr., husband Richard Gaver Sr., Sister Patricia Staub, and Brother Charles (Chuck) Young Jr.

A visitation will be held for family and friends on Tuesday July 23, 2019 from 6-8PM at Keeney and Basford Funeral home, 106 East Church Street Frederick MD 21701.
