Austin W. Hartsock, Jr.

March 5, 1956 — March 9, 2024

In loving memory of Austin William Hartsock Jr., a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who peacefully passed away at the age of 68 at Frederick Health Hospital. Married for 48 years to his beloved wife, Terri, Austin was the cornerstone of his family. He found immense joy in the bond he shared with his wife, his three children and four cherished grandchildren. As the proud owner of Frederick Painting Company, he brought color and beauty to countless homes in Frederick County, reflecting his passion for home improvements and the finer details. Austin loved the outdoors and the beach, especially Jamaica. In his final hours he even said that he felt like he was there, and it brought his family great joy.

Austin is survived by his wife, Terri, their three children, Lindsay Kelly and husband Michael, Dana Hartsock and wife Ashley and Amanda Coombs and husband Michael, sister Barbara Lowe and husband David and brother Ronnie Hartsock, and his greatest prize in life, his four grandchildren Brianna, Bryan, Sean and Grace. Austin was preceded in death by his sister Sharon Wilson, mother Shirley Hartsock and father Austin Hartsock Sr.

Austin leaves behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and a deep love for family and being the coolest “Pop Pop” he could be. His dedication to family, coupled with his commitment to his craft, defined his life. His legacy lives on through the vibrant colors he brought to homes and the lasting impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty he created and the love he cultivated in us all.

A private burial will take place at Mount Olivet cemetery.
