Audra Jayne Cash

Audra Jayne Cash, age 43, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 13, 1976 in Hampton, Virginia to parents ShirleeAnn Cash and Jack S. Cash, Jr. For the past 22 years she courageously battled brain cancer and she triumphantly fought and defeated “Tallulah.”

Audra graduated Linganore High School, class of 1994, where she was a member of the marching band and color guard. She was Miss Libertytown Fire Prevention in 1993 and Miss Frederick County Fire Prevention in 1994. She was employed with the Maryland State Police beginning as a dispatcher and later in the Licensing Division, but her most important job was being a mother to her children, whom she loved more than anything in this world. She will be remembered for her spunky personality, witty sense of humor, and fierce love for her family and friends. She will be forever known as a mother, sister, daughter, and a very good friend.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children Ethan, Hannah, Noah, and Eli Bartholomew. Sisters Regina Cortez and husband Juan, Elizabeth Zartman and husband Paul, Sharon Larkin and husband Michael; sister-in-law June Cash; grandmother Audrey Cash; and nieces and nephews Isabelle, Cruz, Devin, Caleb, Matthew, Emily, and Molly. She was preceded in death by brother Ronald Cash, grandparents Ronald and Nina Letts, and grandfather Jack Cash. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 7255 Ridge Road, Mt. Airy, MD. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in her name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, PO Box 98018, Washington, DC, The National Brain Tumor Society, 55 Chapel St., Suite 200, Newton, MA 02458, or donate blood and platelets at your local donation center so that others can continue their fight against cancer.
