Anne Louise Janson

Mrs. Anne Louise (Rocca) Janson, 89, of Frederick, died Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center.  She was the loving wife of William Clifford Janson for 35 years.

Born May 28, 1932 in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of the late Raymond P. and Bernadine (Fladune) Rocca.

Anne Louise attended Holy Cross Elementary School and graduated from Holy Child High School in 1951.  She received her Associates Degree in Arts from Immaculata Junior College.  She taught in Montessori School for 2 to 3 years.  Anne Louise was a secretary at George Washington University and for Dr. John B. Brady.  In her spare time, she was very active in the Catholic Daughters of America, Pro-life committees and most recently Bible studies and acting. She also loved to read and to travel with her husband Bill. Anne Louise was a member of the Bishop Fenwick Chapter of the Eastern Province of the Lay Fraternities of Saint Dominic. Her chosen religious name was St. Catherine of Siena.

In addition to her husband, Anne is survived by her cousin Mr. Leo Rocca (Mrs. Christine) and their children, Mr. William Rocca (pre-deceased Mrs. Jitka Rocca) and children,  Hilary Rocca, Mrs. Stephanie Wilbur (Mr. Hector Wilbur) and children; and by Anne’s niece, Mrs. Susan Rocca Fischer (Mr. Tyler Fischer) and grand-nieces Audrey and Harper. Anne Louise was predeceased in death by her brother Mr. Raymond P. Rocca and his wife Mrs. Dot Rocca.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 8428 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM.  Father Keith Boisvert will officiate. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring.
