Anna Lee Geisler

Anna Lee (Myers) Geisler, 91, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at her home in Middletown, MD. Anna Lee was born March 14, 1933, in Adamstown, MD to the late Charles Wilbur Myers and Ruth Ellen (Rollins) Myers. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Thomas Geisler, Sr.

Anna Lee graduated from Frederick High School in 1951 and enjoyed attending their yearly reunions. After graduation she went to work for the phone company. In 1958, they moved to farm in Burkittsville. She was a devoted farmers wife, amazing Mother and she loved to cook and bake. She loved helping with all school activities and volunteering. Anna Lee was a devoted member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Burkittsville. She enjoyed helping with all church dinners and activities.

She is survived by her loving family, daughter Robin Leatherman and son-in-law Steve, daughter-in-law Joyce Geisler, granddaughters Barbara Badstibner and husband Kyle, Amy Knight and husband Matt; grandson Ryan Leatherman and wife Erin. Great-Grandchildren Addison Kaas, Charles Kaas III, Suzanna Badstibner, Sydney Badstibner, Emma Knight, Easton and Cora Leatherman. She will also be remembered by her special cousin, Genny Cummings.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she is predeceased by her son Richard (Rick) Thomas Geisler, Jr., and her brother Millard Myers.

The family will receive friends at Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A. 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD, on Wednesday, August 28. 2024, from 4 - 7 PM. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 5 E. Main Street, Burkittsville, MD 21718, on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 11 A.M. Interment is Private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
