Herbert Douglas Abrecht

Mr. Herbert Douglas "Herbie" Abrecht, 70, of Frederick, died on July 15 at Golden Living Center, Frederick. He was the husband of Emma (Fogle) Abrecht. Born on October 11, 1940, he was the son of the late Ernest A. Abrecht, Jr. and Eva Elizabeth (Ingram) Abrecht.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Abrecht is survived by step-daughters Barbara Portner of Frederick and Sandra Burdette of Boonsboro, 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers Ernest Abrecht III and Nancy of Hagerstown and Stephen Abrecht and Patsy of Hedgesville, WV as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 18 from 6-8 PM at Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 19 at 1:00 PM in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
