Betty Anderson

Ms. Betty "Moe" Anderson, 46, of Frederick, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 15, 2011, at her home after a six year battle with breast cancer.

Born on January 4, 1965, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Barbara (Stone) Anderson Sr.

She was a graduate of Linganore High School Class of 1983. She was most recently employed in customer service at Ramar Moving Companies, where she received numerous awards. Also, she was a member of Harvest Life Ministries in Boonsboro.

Moe is survived by her son, Dallas Anderson, siblings, Wanda Gemmell and husband Michael of Thurmont, David Anderson and wife Patricia of Boonsboro and John Anderson and wife Treasa of Hagerstown, estranged siblings, Roland Anderson Jr. and Pearl Wills.

She leaves behind a very special Aunt, Betty Bowers, who was her "angel", special nephew, Nathaniel Gemmell, special nieces, Brittney Lease and Courtney Lease, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Moe had a wonderful group of friends and will be sadly missed by all. "The world has lost a loving angel, who is now Heaven's gain."

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9pm, on Monday, October 17, 2011, at the Keeney & Basford P.A. Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Pastor Jeff Summers will officiate. Interment will be at Hyattstown United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hyattstown.
