Mrs. Pauline Mae Frushour Baker, 79, of Frederick, died Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Lester William Baker, who preceded her in death July 21, 2008. Born May 8, 1930, in Wolfsville, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Brian and Erma Elizabeth Gaver Frushour. Mrs. Baker was of the Brethren faith and had been associated with Grossnickle Church of the Brethren, Myersville, and the Frederick Church of the Brethren. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and the Amvets Post 2 Auxiliary. In early years she worked at several sewing factories, including Sagner's and the Frederick Tailoring Co., as well as the Union Bridge and Walkersville factories. She was also employed with the Board of Education from September 1979 to June 1997. She is survived by a daughter, Doris Mae Myers and husband, Robert Lee Myers, of Adamstown; and a granddaughter, Amanda Mae Myers of Adamstown. She is also survived by two brothers, Clarence Frushour, Highland, and Richard Frushour, Wolfsville; three sisters, Irene Frushour Smith, Myersville, Ruth Ann Roberson Castle, Braddock Heights, and Betty Jane Roberson Hays, Middletown; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; and one brother, Gaither Frushour. She is fondly remembered by Joshua, Pearl, Faith, Megan, Kermi and Star. The family will receive friend from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, at Keeney and Basford, P.A., Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 8, from the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. James S. Flora officiating. Interment will be in Grossnickle Church Cemetery, Myersville.
