Sharyn Regina Beckley

Mrs. Sharyn Regina Biser "Grammy" Beckley, 68, of Thurmont and Frederick, died on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at her home in Fredrick. She was the wife of the late Robert Lee Beckley, Sr., who died September 29, 2002.

Born in Bethesda on May 2, 1943, Sharyn was a daughter of the late Reginald A. and Alma Arnvall Biser.

Mrs. Beckley was the former vice-president of the Beckley's Camping Center. She had attended one year of Maryland Medical Secretary School and was a member of the Thurmont Lions Club.

Surviving her are her children, J. Craig Beckley and wife Michele, of Thurmont, Cathryne V. Heskett and husband Michael, of Gettysburg, PA, step son, Thom E. Beckley and wife Teresa, of Walkersville, daughter-in-law, Karen Beckley, of Phoenix, MD, one brother, A. Keith Biser and wife Linda, of South Carolina, and her loving grandchildren, Christopher Heskett, Benjamin Heskett, Jordan Beckley, Taylor Beckley, Dylan Beckley and step grandson, Colton Beckley, and several nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered by her best friend, Libby Abrecht, of Hagerstown. She was preceded in death by a step son, R. Lee Beckley, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Sunday, October 16, 2011, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Private services with interment will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Control of Frederick County, 1832 Rosemont Avenue, Frederick, MD 21702.
