Willis Wirts Bennett

Willis Wirt Bennett, 73, of Frederick, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at his residence.

Born on February 28, 1937, in Washington D.C. He was the son of the late Samuel and Sylvia Bennett.

Willis was a piano teacher at American University. He performed in the Alexandria Lyceum Series and at Wolftrap. He was a gourmet cook and enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are three sisters, Barbara Wells, Marian Bennett and Margaret Fanning and husband Larry, five nieces, one nephew and numerous Great nieces and Great nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 6, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church St., Frederick. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Frederick Memorial Hospital, 400 West Seventh St., Frederick, Md, 21701
