Robert Berry, Jr.

Mr. Robert Berry, Jr., age 69 of Frederick, passed away on February 21, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband for 35 years and best friend of Sharon Berry. Born on June 6, 1941 in Kingsport Tennessee he was the son of the late Robert, Sr. and Maxine Berry.

Mr. Berry was a truck driver all his life. He was a longtime member of the FOE, Aerie 1067, Frederick. Most importantly he loved the Dallas Cowboys and his family, particularly all 17 of his grandchildren. Mr. Berry's family would like to thank Holly Brubaker of Hospice of Frederick County and his housemate and caregiver Robin Chapin for their wonderful care during this hard time.

Mr. Berry was the father of Rickie Berry of Buffalo, NY; Lisa Gunter & husband William of Harpers Ferry, WV; Jennifer Howard of Falling Waters, WV; Kim Green of Boonsboro; Edith Brazee & husband Gary, Jr., of Hagerstown; and Allen Brigham of South Carolina. He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren and two sisters, Lockie Poole of Germantown and Edith Eastridge of Johnson City, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Scott Heltzel, Jr., who passed away on July 5, 1999.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 from 6 to 9 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where services are planned for Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 1:30 PM in the Etchison Memorial Chapel. Rev. Judith Ward will officiate. The interment will follow at Mt.
