Mr. Milton (Dutch) Monroe Blank, of Old Receiver Road, Frederick, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the loving husband for 66 years of the late Pauline Blank who passed away on February 2, 2010. Born on August 20, 1922, he was the son of the late Milton H. Blank and Elizabeth Viola Lowery Blank of Frederick.
Known to most as "Dutch" he was an avid trap shooter, Hunter, and fisherman for many years. He was a member of the Thurmont Conservation Sportsman Club, Thurmont, the American Legion FSK Post 11 and the Frederick VFW. Mr. Blank served in the Army and was a veteran of World War II. His passing leaves much sorrow in the hearts of all that knew him and he will be missed.
Mr. Blank is survived by one daughter Latricia (Pat) Reddish and husband Robert of Ohio, two grandchildren, Gina Reddish and Joseph Reddish, four great grandchildren, Evan, Angie, Brandy, and Krista, all of Ohio. He is additionally survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Blank is preceded in death by his son, Milton M. Blank, Jr., two sisters, Charlotte Masser and Peg Rice, and two brothers, Leo Blank and Robert (Bobby) Blank.
The family will received friends on Monday, April 11, 2011 from 3 to 5 and from 7 to 9 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where services will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 2:00 PM. Pastor Joe Burdette will officiate.
