Nancy &Quot;Sydie&Quot; Bloomenstock

Mrs. Nancy "Sydie" Bloomenstock, age 64, of Frederick, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2011. She was the devoted wife for 46 years of David Bloomenstock. Born on April 26, 1946 she was the daughter of the late Austin and Nancy Miller.

First and foremost, Nancy was a devoted mother, grandmother and keeper of the family. She originally lived in Columbus, Indiana and was an excellent homemaker. After moving to Frederick she owned and operated the hair salon Cut Color and Curl.

In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by her two children, John David Bloomenstock and Abigail Eyre Cassity and husband Justin both of Frederick. She was the grandmother of three, Chelsea Nicole Bloomenstock, McKenzie Eyre Bloomenstock, and Sarah Elizabeth Bloomenstock. She is additionally survived by her mother-in-law Maxine Bloomenstock of Columbus, Indiana, two siblings, John A. Miller and Pam A. Mann and husband Jack, and 7 nieces and nephews. She was beloved by many friends and acquaintances who will miss her dearly.

Friends will be received on Monday, April 25, 2011 from 3 to 5 and from 7 to 9 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 118 E. 2nd St., Frederick, MD 21701.
