Patricia Martin Boone Obituary

Patricia Martin Boone, 69, a loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away Saturday, December 25, 2010 at Frederick Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side. She was the wife of Paul W. Boone, they were married for 47 years.

She was born on January 28, 1941 in Altoona, PA. She was the daughter of the late Leo F. Martin and Julia E. (Wiley) Martin of Frederick, MD.

Patricia was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Frederick and a graduate of Saint John's Literary Institute Class of 1958. She was employed for many years in the financial business and finished her career working at the Jefferson Market. In between those careers, she was a homemaker and a "Mom" to many kids in the area. While her children were in elementary school she was a Teacher's Aide and then she volunteered to support the athletic functions through high school. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandsons. She loved playing bingo and she enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and Charles Town. She will be remembered by all those who knew her, as a caring person who was always willing to do something for others.

In addition to her husband Paul, she is survived by sons, Keith P. Boone and wife Judy of Myersville, MD., their sons Jacob, Alec and Ethan and Kevin P. Boone and wife Jennie of Harpers Ferry, WV their sons, Kyle, Connor and Cameron. A brother Robert F. Martin and wife Mary of Frederick, and several nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.

The family will recieve friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 am on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 118 East Second Street, Frederick. Father Richard Gray will officiate. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, MD.
