Harry &Quot;Buddy&Quot; James Burdette, Sr.

Mr. Harry James "Buddy" Burdette, Sr., 67, of Frederick, passed away peacefully at home. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mabel Burdette.

Born January 18, 1944 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late John and Frances Renner Burdette.

Mr. Burdette was employed at Golden Dipt Co. for 27 years. He more recently was employed for the past 14 years with Weis Markets at Spring Ridge as a night stocker.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Harry J. Burdette, Jr. and wife, Lisa; Tina A. Coleman; Brian K. Burdette and wife, Loretta; and Randy L. Burdette, and wife, Heather; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; one great-granddaughter; his brothers, Sammy Renner, Eddie Renner and Richard Burdette; a sister, Frances (Sissy) Roop; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Anna Shifflet.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services for Mr. Burdette will begain at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2011 from the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be Paul Wareham, Lead Care Deacon of Grace Community Church.

Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
