Jean Alison Clark

September 19, 1958 — March 13, 2011

Ms. Jean Alison Clark, 52, of Germantown, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born Sept. 19, 1958 in Virginia, she was the daughter of Margaret Armstrong Tluszcz of Edinburg, Virginia and the late James Essex Clark.

Ms. Clark worked as a payroll specialist, and was a member of Christ Community Church in Germantown. Despite the circumstances of her passing, she will be remembered always for her unfaltering smile, which brought happiness to those around her. She faced life with courage, conviction, and passion, and was an inspiration to those that knew her. Ms. Clark especially loved family vacations at the Outer Banks, something she looked forward to yearly.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children: Brooke Bichner of Germantown, Melissa Campbell and her husband, Lt. Daniel Campbell, of Kansas, and, Ryan Bichner of Mt. Airy; her brother, Jeffrey Clark and his wife, Cathy, of Ashburn, Va.; her sister, Buffy Steinmetz and husband, Chip of Berryville, Va.; her three nieces, Emily, Lisa, and Katie; two nephews, Matthew and Christopher, and her dear friend and cousin, Nancy Kehoe.

In addition, her first granddaughter Charlotte, to be born in July, and all future grandchildren, will lovingly remember Jean through the children who carry her memory.

Her family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 19 from the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be her uncle, Dr. Wilbur Kersey, of Portsmouth, Virginia.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Montgomery Hospice, 1355 Piccard Drive, Suite 100 Rockville, MD 20850.
