Ruth &Quot;Bunny&Quot; Elizabeth Craven

Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth "Bunny" Craven, 89, of Jefferson, died Thursday, April 15, 2010, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joe Edwin Craven, who died Feb. 18, 1994. Born in Frederick on Nov. 12, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Lakin and Cordelia Summers Thrasher. Mrs. Craven was a homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed cats and loved flowers. She was a life member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Jefferson and was active with Food and Friends. Surviving her are three children, Beverly A. Loughlin and husband, Eugene, of Holland, Mich., and Joseph T. "Jody" Craven and Thomas F. Craven, both of Jefferson; four grandchildren, Brian Loughlin and wife, Andrea, Melissa Sines and husband, David, Stephanie Bard and husband, Scott, and Greg Craven; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas E. Thrasher; and a great-grandson, Conner Loughlin. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, at Keeney and Basford, P.A., Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Katrina L. Holland, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
