Goldie May Davis

Mrs. Goldie May Davis, 90, of Frederick and formerly of Doubs, died on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at the Kline Hospice House. She was the wife of the late Hume Richard Davis, who died in 1998. Born in Jefferson on April 27, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Joseph E. and Lydia Irene Pearl Jenkins. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker for most of her life and a long time member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Doubs. Surviving her are two daughters, Barbara Scarff, and Juanita Slater and husband Randy, all of Frederick, grandson, Scott A. Scarff and wife Lori, of Mt. Airy and great granddaughter, Amanda Scarff Robinson, also several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., on Friday, October 28, 2011, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, October 29, at the funeral home. The Rev. Marina C. Flores, will officiate. Interment will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. Pallbearers will be; David Shafer, Tommy Stockman, Brian Bauerschmidt, Ronnie Adams, Jay Bartlett and Ronnie Bartlett.
