Paul Armond DeGrange Obituary

Paul A. DeGrange, 78, of Frederick, died Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Ann R. Smith DeGrange.

He was born on April 8, 1932, in Frederick, he was the son of the late Roscoe and Olive Wiles DeGrange.

Mr. DeGrange was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was truck driver for many years. He enjoyed the company of his children and vacationing in Ocean City.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Paul A. DeGrange Jr. and wife Paula of Thurmont, Douglas W. DeGrange and wife Gina of Ocean City, Mark E. DeGrange and wife Shelly of New Market, David A. DeGrange Sr. of Frederick, Richard W. DeGrange and wife Johanna of Cascade, daughters, Robin E. Legg and husband Gene of Frederick, Cynthia A. Forder and husband William of Frederick, 16 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren, sisters, Evelyn Hewitt and husband Buck, Lillian Anderson, Catherine Wright of Frederick, brother, James DeGrange and wife Margaret of Pennsylvania, sister-in-law, Jacklyn DeGrange, and numerous other family members.

He was preceded in death by children, Karen Lynn DeGrange, Kimberly Sue DeGrange, and Ronald L. DeGrange, and brother, Roscoe DeGrange Jr.

The family will be receiving friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 on Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. The funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 in the Etchison Memorial Chapel. Major Raymond Pruitt will officiate. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.

Pall bearers for the service are Paul A. DeGrange III, Wade J. Cline, David A. DeGrange Jr., Brian M. DeGrange Sr., Gene W. Legg III, Ronald L. DeGrange Jr. and Jonathan W. Long.
