John William Dinterman Sr

Mr. John William "Bill" Dinterman Sr., 73, of Frederick, died Friday, April 30, 2010, at his home. He was the husband of the late Virginia Lee Wisner Dinterman, who died Aug. 22, 2008. They were married for 52 years. Born Dec. 28, 1936, in Frederick County, he was a son of the late Clifford and Evelyn Dinterman. He grew up in Walkersville and was the grandson of the late Erma Dinterman, whom he greatly admired. Mr. Dinterman had worked for many years at Frederick Iron and Steel and for more than 30 years he owned and operated Dinterman's Janitorial Services. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 371 in Frederick and was an avid Redskins fan. Surviving him are his two children, Tammy L. Dinterman of Frederick and John W. Dinterman Jr. and his wife, Jeanne, of Smithsburg; five grandchildren, Chasity Danner, Ashley Danner, Andrew Dinterman, Aaron Dinterman and Kyle Dinterman; and one great-grandson, Kaden Danner. He will be sadly missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews and many good friends. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 3, at Keeney and Basford, P.A., Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Lynn Wilson, associate pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, will officiate.
