Claude Hendrix Droneburg

Mr. Claude Hendrix Droneburg, Sr., 92, of Frederick, died on Friday, November 4, 2011 at his residence. He was the husband of 53 years to Olivia (Federline) Droneburg. Born on February 8, 1919 in Frederick County, he was the son of the late Clyde Thomas Droneburg and Catherine Rebecca (Bell) Droneburg.

Mr. Droneburg farmed dairy cows in Lewistown. He also worked at Yarwel Wastler and at Watson Ice Company.

Mr. Droneburg was the loving father of Claude H. Droneburg, Jr., Kenneth E. Droneburg and wife Sharon of Thurmont, Diana Funk of Frederick, Robert H. Droneburg and wife Cathy of Boonsboro as well as step-daughters Wanda Shewbridge of Harpers Ferry, WV and Rosa Lee Myers of Brunswick. He was the devoted grandfather of 15 and the beloved great-grandfather of 8. He is also survived by his sister Evelyn Martin.

Friends will be recieved on Sunday, November 6 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 7 at 2:00 PM in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home, Pastor Joe Sheedy officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
