Harold F. Eccleston

Mr. Harold Francis Eccleston, 66, of Frederick, died on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Beverly Fetzer Magyar. Born on June 1, 1944, he was the son of the late Harold F. Eccleston and Jane Pisano.

Mr. Eccleston was a civilian chemist for the U.S. Navy. Upon his retirement from the Navy, he obtained his Automotive Service Excellence (A.S.E.) certification. He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Community in Middletown. Mr. Eccleston belonged to the Thurmont Conservation and Sportsmans Club.

In addition to his wife, Beverly Magyar Mr. Eccleston is survived by his children David C. Eccleston and his wife Jennifer of Herndon, VA; Arthur M. Eccleston and his wife Jaimie of Asheville, NC; Katie J. Arredondo and her significant other Carlos Delgado of Woodbridge, VA as well as step-children Christopher Magyar, Janine Weiger, Julie Potter and Angela Jehle; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. He is also survived by brothers Douglas Eccleston of New Hampshire and Kevin Eccleston of North White Plains, NY, sisters Laurel Eccleston of California; Lesley Eccleston of Florida and Karen Tedesco of Florida as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Rita Ann Eccleston and brothers Kenneth Eccleston and Bryan Eccleston.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 27, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Holy Family Catholic Community, 7321 Burkittsville Road, Middletown, Maryland 21769. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Holy Family Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 1:00 PM. Interment will immediately follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 1393 Progress Way, Sykesville, Maryland 21784.
