Louise Virginia G. Englebrecht, age 97, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Coffman Nursing Home, Hagerstown, MD. She was born on November 8, 1913 in Frederick, Maryland to George G. and Margaret Harrison Englebrecht, both now deceased. She was a 1932 Frederick High School graduate.
Louise was a devout member of St. Barnabas Chapel, All Saints Episcopal Church of Frederick. She served as Sunday School teacher and pianist for over 40 years at the chapel and was an active member of the Ladies' Church Guild.
During her lifetime she worked for the G & L Bakery, The Hosiery, Price Electric, and the Maryland State School for the Deaf. She retired from the school in 1984 where she served as night counselor for the primary students.
She is survived by her sister, Dorothy E. Mullican, niece, Tawn Gelvin and her daughter Ashley; niece Tina Miller and husband Michael and their two daughters Whitney Dangerfield and husband Douglas, and their children, Jared and Kyle Dangerfield, and Maggie Krzywicki and husband bobby. She is also survived by many cousins and God Children.
The family would like to thank the staff of Coffman Nursing Home for their kindness and loving care they gave to Louise. She loved them all. She will be remembered for her love of Family, Children and her music.
The family will received friends on Thursday, July 28, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where services will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 10 AM. Rev. Thomas W. Claggett, III of All Saints Episcopal Church will officiate. The interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
